After 5 years, the SNOWYfest and Home Brewed teams are taking a well-earned break in 2008. Canberra Shorts will return in 2009

SNOWYfest will run a special event on the weekend of 14 June
2008 for those looking for an excuse to get down to the snow

TRIVIA QUIZ with short films

Canberra Shorts & Trivia, returning in 2009, is a unique evening run by volunteers in the local filmmaking community. The trivia is run like an old trivia night except in the breaks between rounds, short films are screened. With access to films provided by the region's biggest film festival SNOWYfest, and the renowned Home Brewed International Film Festival, Canberra Shorts & Trivia serves up the best short films you'll see in Canberra...and entry is FREE!!

Local Filmmakers are welcome to submit their works at any time (starting again from around October 2008)...and entry is FREE again!

Jointly Hosted by local actor and filmmaker Brendan "The Magnet Mart Man" Sloane and local actor Paul "The voice behind the Sportsmans Warehouse smiley-face" Murphy, the evening also occasionally features interviews with local filmmakers and talks by industry practitioners. If you are interested in filmmaking but do not know where to start, come down, say G'day to the hosts and we'll get you moving down the road to becoming a short filmmaker.
